Advisory Intern, Technology Risk

As a Technology Risk Intern at Deloitte Advisory, you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries while building your professional skills in a variety of project experiences.  You’ll be involved in helping our clients identify and understand technology risk as businesses change, analyze and improve the effectiveness of governance and financial and operational control processes, offer recommendations to improve operations, and assist clients with enterprise and compliance activities.


Work you’ll do

As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple project opportunities leveraging your business or technology degree to help our clients more confidently make decisions to drive performance.  In our Technology Risk service area, we help our clients embrace change, grow their business, accelerate performance and emerge resilient following periods of crisis or controversy. Your experiences could include working with clients to assess and manage risk, inspect accounting systems and controls for improvement opportunities, leveraging our methodologies to improve our clients’ information technology controls or technology risk management programs, and/or participate in the development or execution of internal audit strategic plans

·         The following undergraduate or master’s degrees will be considered:

o    Business:  Business Administration or Accounting with a concentration in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Finance; Masters in Accounting or Information Systems

o    Technology:  Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Math, Engineering, Supply Chain Management

·         Demonstrated proficiency in verbal communication skills, professional presence, and written communication skills essential to interacting with clients and teams

·         Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

·         Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills

·         Ability to quickly and concisely research and collect data from unique places

·         Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way

·         A strong understanding of Windows Based systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·         Travel up to 75% may be required, dependent on role and location




·         Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)


How you’ll grow

Throughout the course of the internship program, you will receive formal and informal mentorship and training.  You will have access to learning opportunities to help foster and accelerate your development of new skills and capabilities.  Beyond the formal training, you will work with talented professionals and have the chance to ask questions and gain valuable hands-on experience while working on client engagements.  Interns will also be invited to participate in an Advisory Internship Conference hosted during the summer at Deloitte University.
