Position Detail

LIFETOUCH NATIONAL SCHOOL STUDIOS -- An Eden Prairie based national provider of professional portraits for preschools and schools, houses of worship and the retail market is looking to add a Web Development Intern to their team. In this growing technical team you will be exposed to a variety of hands-on responsibilities as well as gaining insight into how a corporate development team plays a role in the larger organization. The senior managers you will be working with have worked within large corporate atmospheres their entire career and will be a tremendous resource for you to learn from.

In this position, you will help maintain and enhance internal and external facing websites. This will involve interaction with ‘customers’ to gather requirements, prioritize into work schedule and fulfill the requests. To be successful in this role, you must have strong problem solving skills, sense of urgency and a drive for results.

Position Description

  • Check web servers and database servers for errors and performance
  • Diagnose and fix problems on a daily basis as needed
  • Respond daily to email requests pertaining to website issues and minor website changes
  • Design/Develop additional web pages for existing sites

Required Skills

  • Ideal position for a recent graduate or current student anticipating completion of their degree in December 2006 or May 2007 with the availability to work part-time until graduation
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP or ASP.net, and SQL
  • Experience with digital image manipulation
  • Knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and SQL Server
