I'm willing to help upgrade Drupal from 4.x to 6.0...
So this site is still running (stable... for the most part) on Drupal 4.x and I realize the club may be happy cruisin' on that.
I know that Drupal 6.0 was recently released and it's got great administrative features, 1.5 years of security updates, a much easier theming engine, and the core forums module is a bit better. Are the CS Club officers interested in upgrading the club website?
Our key modules (aside from core modules) on the current site are:
The only real problem in our list of modules would be sign-up. It's been developed through Drupal 5.x and I don't know the plans for Drupal 6.x In practice, no one has been signing up for events anyways so it may not be missed.
Also, I have a lot more experience with best-of-breed modules through my business, like the TinyMCE module for embedding a WYSIWYG editor into Drupal. That would make the site much more approachable to wider audiences.
Anyways, are any of the officers/members interested in the upgrade. Let's slate out a time :)
