TIME: 8:30 AM Check In, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Session
With the evolution of the Java platform, new opportunities are emerging
for developers, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs. That's why we've
scheduled a full day of learning at the University of St. Thomas,
Minneapolis Campus in October. The keynote will provide a
forward-looking session on technologies that support software
development now and the in the future. In addition, you can participate
in multiple sessions (Java FX, Java 6, Netbeans, and more) going deep on
Java technology, and have time to network with peers, experts and the
development community at large.

Please join us to kick off the start of another school year this Thursday! Have a chance to meet the faculty, staff, and other QMCS students, learn about the Computer Science Club, hear what your classmates have been up to over the summer, enjoy some pizza, and have fun!
When: Thursday, September 13th 12:00 to 1:00 (over the convo hour). *Lunch will be provided (while it lasts)

Creator of Ruby on Rails, David Heinemeir Hansson will be doing a session in St. Paul

The event name is MinneBar and it is an ad-hoc gathering of technology enthusiasts. Each person contributes in some way by leading discussions, demos, asking questions, or volunteering.
David Heinemeir Hansson (DHH), creator of Ruby on Rails will be doing a session. Jamie Thingelstad, CTO of Dow Jones online will be leading this discussion. There will also be a session on MonoRails.
When Saturday, April 21 2007 starting at 9:00am. Registration begins at 8:30 please come early.

- UST's career development center has many listings. They constantly get requests for people with IT skills! They also have a list of information technology sites.
- The CS club has a forum for discussing job opportunities.
- There are several opportunities for student employment and full time staff at the UST job site.
